We are pleased to offer the Call for Abstracts for the 65th ASEV National Conference & 39th ASEV Eastern Section Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas USA. We encourage you to submit an abstract for consideration.

The national conference provides a forum for the presentation of research in the fields of enology and viticulture or related sciences. An abstract can be submitted independent of publication of a paper and we welcome abstracts for both ongoing and completed research projects.

Registration (for the conference) and housing (for hotel rooms) are offered separately. We recommend you book your room first and then register for the conference.

Dr. Ann C. NobleDr. Ann Noble’s career in the Department of Viticulture and Enology at the University of California, Davis spanned almost three decades, from her initial hire as the first female faculty member in 1974 until her retirement in 2002. Over the course of those years, and across more than 150 publications, Dr. Noble’s career was highlighted by a series of seminal contributions, from the creation of the Wine Aroma Wheel to key studies into wine bitterness and astringency to the application of time-intensity and multivariate statistical techniques for the analysis of sensory data. AJEV is fortunate to welcome two new editors in 2013. Professor Felipe Laurie, of the Universidad de Talca, Chile, became an associate editor in chemistry in January 2013. Dr. Eveline Bartowsky, of the Australian Wine Research Institute, has agreed to serve as an associate editor in microbiology.
